Huawei launches world's fastest smartphone: The Ascend D quad With Huawei's own quad-core chip and power management system
Huawei is not an idea for most Westerners and who knows the Chinese company, which offers phone with low-spec and at low-cost. But Huawei, along with member of Chinese tech giant ZTE, is in the process of rebranding itself as a strong competitor from Samsung or HTC. Their plan is to focus on the exclusives high-end SmartPhone devices.
At the press conference Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei Device said that "We have listened to people who are the top demands of smartphones: speed, long battery life, high quality video and audio capabilities, and a compact, lightweight device. The Huawei Ascend D quad exceeds these expectations. In January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, we have a world record for thinnest smartphone in the world with the Huawei Ascend P1 S. The Huawei Ascend D quad smartphone is expected to be available Q2 2012 in Australia, China, Europe, North and South America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East and also The Huawei Ascend D Quad SmartPhone launched with a target of selling 60 million units this year (with the exemption of the Chinese domestic market).
