Facebook has changed Private Policy

The very 1st thing you need to know is that facebook had replaced its “private policy” name by “Data Use Policy”. The other most important thing is, while accessing facebook account you are agreeing to accept a new name of private policy as well as changes made in policy.

Most of the changes are made considering the Federal Trade Commission. But from where Downey sits, "the changes reflect the fact that Facebook is extending its data collecting tentacles in all directions: towards people who never even signed up for Facebook, activities that aren't clearly defined as sharing, and mediums that aren't clearly defined as advertising.”

Downey says "There are also obvious imbalances of power throughout the Statement: for example, Facebook forces its app developers to adhere to privacy standards that Facebook itself doesn't do, like making it easy to delete your account," she said. "Furthermore, this Statement is take it or leave it: users agree to it simply by using Facebook. Most of them will never know when or if the Terms change, let alone what they mean."

• Till now your friends are not allow to visit your’s friends activities but now onwards they can access your personal information (friend’s activities) If you are allowing them by accepting apps. But if you do not clearly give app permission to access your information, they can’t access your information.

• Facebook's ban on multiple accounts and using a false name, it may violate First adjustment protections in the U.S.

• The new policy requires you to keep your profile and contact information up to date and acuarate.

• Facebook policy language has been changed from "users" to "users or non-users who interact with Facebook.

Infect it’s a very harder task for those companies which develop apps for facebook to to protect user privacy

The facebook Policy is not only change for the facebook users, Its also change for the third party developers, as Facebook is now require to obey rules that the social network itself does not obey.

App developers policy include:

• They have to delete all data which they collected from facebook, If the user asks to do so

• They are not allowed to sell user data.
• Facebook will ask apps developers to delete user data if developers use it in inconsistent way

• Developers have to make easy for users to discontinue or disconnect from your application.
